First Confirmed Measles Case Reported in Nebraska

A confirmed measles case in Sheridan County has been reported to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The patient is an appropriately vaccinated child with no out-ofstate travel history. Due to privacy, no further individual information will be provided.

Ainsworth Golfers Qualify Two for State Meet

North Central sophomore Keian Fischer won the Class D-3 Boys Golf District Monday at the Ainsworth Golf Course by nine shots, carding a 2-under par round of 70. On his second hole of the day, Fischer recorded a holein- one on the par 3 second hole.

Bulldogs Travel to Omaha to Compete at State Track and Field Meet

Seven Bulldogs competed at the state track and field meet on May 22 and 23. Kiley Orton 3200M - 12:58.85 - 20th 1600 - 5:53.78 - 19th Owen Blumenstock 200M - 23.95 - 22nd TJ - 39-11.75 - 20th Blumenstock, Fernandez, Evans, and Ortner 4x400M - 3:38.77 - 12th.

Commissioners Approve Purchase of New Vehicle for Sheriff’s Department

On May 20, the Brown County Board of Commissioners met for their second monthly meeting. Board members Jeremiah Dailey and Don Painter were present, along with County Clerk Travee Hobbs, County Attorney Andy Taylor, and Highway Superintendent Kenneth Turpin.
