Payton Moody of Ainsworth has been selected to attend American Legion Auxiliary Cornhusker Girls State June 1-7 on the campus of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Moody will study local, county and state government processes in this nonpartisan political learning experience.

Nebraska and Iowa Residents Can Call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO for a Safe Ride As Memorial Day weekend approaches, AAA is not only gearing up to assist more than 378,000 stranded drivers nationwide, but it’s also taking steps to prevent impaired driving tragedies. The Auto Club Group is activating its Tow to Go service in Nebraska, Iowa and other select locations to offer a confidential and free ride for drivers who find themselves too impaired to drive.

Doug Weiss and Brett Knoetzel shared the low round Thursday during a breezy night of men’s league golf at the Ainsworth Golf Course. Weiss and Knoetzel each posted 1-over par rounds of 37. Cody Goochey carded a round of 39.
