Ainsworth High School took nine members of the Quiz Bowl team to Hastings on Wednesday, April 30, to compete in the State Quiz Bowl hosted by ESU 9. Each ESU in Nebraska sends two teams for a total of 30 teams with no division by classes.

The Ainsworth High School Grafuating class of 2025 walked across the stage and received their diplomas on Sunday, May 11. The Class of 2025 consisted of 27 graduates recieving diplomas..

On April 26, Rod Worrell was honored with the Golden Pica Pole Award for his service to the Nebraska Press Association and bringing news to Ainsworth. For those who don’t know what a pica pole is, it’s a metal ruler used by printers in the composing room to measure type by picas (12 points to the pica, six picas to the inch).

In celebration of Cinco De Mayo, Cottonwood Villa residents were treated to a mini-concert thanks to the Ainsworth band Los Elegantes. Band members include (from left): Francisco Zumano on accordion, Thomas Salas singing, and Uvaldo De Leon on guitar and vocals.
