You’re bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that’s exactly how it played out for Ainsworth on Friday, January 3rd against the Mullen Broncos. Ainsworth was on the road and managed a 49-45 win over the Mullen Broncos for their second win of the season.

January is National Radon Action Month, and NCDHD is urging community members to take action to protect their health and their homes. Radon, an invisible, odorless, and tasteless radioactive gas, is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. It’s a serious health risk, but the good news is that radon exposure is preventable.

UNK Announces Dean’s List for 2024 Fall Semester

The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2024 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale.

Pediatric Influenza Death in NCDHD District

So far, during the 2024-2025 flu season, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has reported three pediatric deaths attributed to influenza. Tragically, one of these deaths occurred within the North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) service area.
