It has been dry also. We could use a good rain. The irrigation canal is almost full of water. Thank heavens we have irrigation or the crops wouldn’t look very good.

Question: When should I plant garlic? There are two main types of garlic, hardneck and softneck and each of these types offer several groups and cultivars. Hardneck garlic develops a woody flower stalk that produces clusters of bulbils after blooming.

According to Malinda Hodge, there was a great turnout of pitchers from all across the State of Nebraska. Both days, August 24th and 25th found very warm temperatures putting more pressure on the pitchers to pitch.

On Saturday, August 3rd the Annual Dennis Roggasch Memorial Horseshoe Tournament was pitched at the Rock County Fairgrounds. Eleven pitchers were in attendance for the double elimination tournament.
