2024 BKR Shooting Sports was held recently at the Sandhills Rod and Gun Club. Following are the results: BB Gun Junior Division: Hayes Frizzell - champion purple, 252; Gavin Ellermeier - reserve purple, 206; Eli Beel - 3rd purple, 195; Otto Morgan - blue, 182; and Hunter Ammon - blue, 178.

A regular meeting of the Brown County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees was held Monday, July 22, 2024. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kirk Peterson. Other members in attendance were John Gross, Brian Delimont, and Brent Deibler. Tate Schipporeit was absent for the general meeting, but was present for the executive session. Also attending was Mirya Hallock - CEO, Tad Stearns - CFO, Lisa Fischer - HR, Tawny Allen - HR, Erica Hasenohr - AFC Manager, and Robin Johannssen - Recording Secretary. Dr. Kenneth Wasmund also attended.

On Friday, July 26th, the Ainsworth Ministerial Association hosted a community picnic between local churches in the Ainsworth East City Park. In the top picture, community members are seen lined up for a delicious, potluck style meal, while others are sitting and visiting with each other.

On August 7th, more than 140 high performance cars will converge on Arnold, NE for the 24th Annual Sandhills Open Road Challenge. The event will begin on Thursday, August 8 with the 22-mile Loup 2 Loup Open Road Race between Halsey and Purdum, NE.
