    NCDHD Works with Rock County Pharmacy to Promote Self-Monitor Blood Pressure

    Taking care of your own health is very important. You know your body best, so why not check on it more? When it comes to self-monitored health, there are many devices that can be used at home! From thermometers to blood pressure monitors, there are devices for everything. When you are having trouble finding one for yourself, places like your local pharmacy are excited to help their community by providing access to some of these devices.

Addiction is a chronic disease that can physically and mentally change a person from who they once were.

    The Dangers of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

    Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning cannot be seen, cannot be smelled, but it can be stopped! According to the Centers for Disease Control, there are more than 400 deaths and approximately 50,000 emergency room visits each year because of CO poisoning. The CO death rate is highest among people 65 years of age or older.

    Flood Warning Lifted; Smith Falls SP Campground Open

    The National Weather Service has lifted a flood warning for the Niobrara River, allowing Smith Falls State Park in north-central Nebraska to reopen its campground and trail to the falls. The National Weather Service had issued the flood warning January 16th after an ice jam had formed on the river near Sparks, NE, downstream from the park.
