    Gov. Pillen Reiterates State Won’t Take S-EBT Funds

    Governor Jim Pillen reiterated Nebraska would not enroll in the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) program provided through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Nebraska, as well as neighbor states like South Dakota and Iowa, have stated they will not seek S-EBT federal funds. Gov. Pillen’s statement follows: “COVID-19 is over and Nebraska taxpayers expect that pandemicera government relief programs will end too.

    Mother Nature Puts Many Christmas Activities On Hold

    Ten inches of snow pushed by strong winds over the Christmas Holiday closed businesses, cancelled church services and kept families at home. A storm started on Saturday, December 23rd and hit full strength on Sunday and Monday, December 24th and 25th The Nebraska Department of Roads and Nebraska State Patrol were advising no travel except for emergencies.
