The beginning of my last session in the legislature is about to start on Wednesday the 3rd of January. Along with the other sixteen senior senators, this will be a bittersweet session for us because our time in elected office is limited by our constitution. Our ancestors felt someone should serve their fellow citizens for a time, and then return to being one again. I wholeheartedly agree with this philosophy, but I will miss serving the incredible Nebraskans of the State’s largest and most beautiful legislative district.
