    Tractor Relay Across Nebraska Coming to Ainsworth

    An informational meeting was held recently with members of the Nebraska Antique Farming Association (NAFA), local media and the Ainsworth Chamber of Commerce to discuss the Tractor Relay Across Nebraska (TRAN) coming to the area during the summer of 2024.

    Did difficult weather this year cause your hay to be baled too wet or silage chopped too dry? Now that hay and silage has heated and turned brown, how should you feed these forages? Hay baled too wet or silage chopped to dry can get excessively hot and cause certain chemical reactions to occur. These chemical reactions and the heat that produces them will darken your forage and make it smell sweet like caramel.

    As my final session in the legislature is about to begin, I am busy making sure I leave the legislature better than I found it. There is one thing I know for certain: Nebraska’s future energy policy should not be based on “renewable” energy. In every case, it makes our electric grid more fragile and makes electricity in Nebraska cost more, to say nothing of what it does to the good people of Nebraska.
