State Plan Approved for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Network

Nebraska’s plan to create a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program has been approved by the US Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT). As a result, Nebraska will receive approximately $6 million per year for the next five years for EV charging stations. The plan will be reviewed and evaluated on a yearly basis. Nebraska will also be able to compete for a portion of an additional $2.5 billion in discretionary grant funding.

September 25 - October 1, 2022 Sunday, September 25th Provided traffic control for a cattle crossing on Highway 20, near mile marker 228. Responded to a request for an accident report involving a broken windshield in a parked vehicle.

Hoots and Howls Under Starlight

Come experience the creatures of the night with a unique opportunity to see the Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge after dark. On October 29 at 7 pm CT, come join Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge staff and learn about the animals and sounds of the night during the Hoots and Howls program. Come experience the wonders of the night sky through large telescopes, including one that is accessible, with National Park Service Staff at 8:15 pm CT. These programs start at the upper Fort Falls trailhead in Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge. Be prepared to walk in the dark with sturdy shoes, bug repellent and water.
