Ainsworth’s Pony League team played a doubleheader with Winner on Wednesday, June 2nd. In Game 1 at 6:30 p.m., Winner defeated Ainsworth 21-1.

The team of Cam Palmer, Scott Steinhauser and Jon Alderson lead Ainsworth Men’s League Golf with a team score of 12 points after the second week of League Golf on Thursday, June 3rd. Two teams share second place with 11 points each.

Ryan Radant and Cordell Nilson held on for a one-shot victory Sunday during the 27-hole Memorial Tournament at the Ainsworth Golf Course. Radant and Nilson carded a 5-under par 31 during the best ball round and backed it up with a 1-under par 35 during the alternate shot round to take a four-shot lead into the aggregate round.

The Ainsworth Track Team competed in the 2021 Class C NSAA State Track meet and earned four medals. The 2021 Class C NSAA State Track Meet was held in Omaha on Friday, May 21st and Saturday, May 22nd.

Track athletes from North Central and Valentine will compete in the 2021 NSAA State Track Meet in Class C on Friday, May 21st and Saturday, May 22nd. North Central Knights Competing for North Central will be: • Brooklyn Buell – Pole Vault.

In preparation for the Nebraska State Track Meet, the Ainsworth Track Teams competed in the NSAA C-5 Districts on Thursday, May 13th in Atkinson. The Ainsworth Track Team will be sending eight athletes in 13 events to the 2021 Class C NSAA State Track Meet in Omaha on Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th.

The Nebraska American Legion is hosting a Walk the Walk Event to honor Nebraska’s 74 Medal of Honor recipients. Legion members Daryl Harrison and Kenneth Hanel will walk the walk across Nebraska.

Ainsworth hosted the 2021 Ainsworth Boys Golf Invitational at Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course on Monday, May 2nd. The 18-hole Invitational started at 9:00 a.m. on an overcast and windy morning in Ainsworth.

The Ainsworth Boys Golf Team competed in the Southwest Conference Golf Tournament on May 6th in at the Wild Horse Golf Course in Gothenburg. McCook came out on top in the team scores with a score of 318 with Ogallala taking second with a score of 325.

The Varsity and Middle School Ainsworth Track teams competed in the Valentine Invitational Track Meet on May 7th. This was the final track meet for the varsity squad before Districts on May 13th in Atkinson.
