With deepest sorrow we announce that Zachorey Dean Jones, age 22, our beloved son, brother, uncle, family member and friend passed away on August 29, 2021 in Ainsworth, NE. Those who knew Zach, even just a little, lost one of the most charismatic, loyal, hardworking and selfless men around.

A private family graveside service for Stella M. (Gale) Thompson, age 94 of Newport, NE was held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery. Stella Thompson died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Parkside Manor in Stuart.

A memorial service for Zachorey “Zach” D. Jones, age 22 of Ainsworth, NE, will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Ainsworth. Inurnment will follow in the Buffalo Flats Cemetery northeast of Ainsworth. Zach Jones died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Ainsworth.

Memorial services for Jimmie M. Howard, age 62 of Ainsworth, NE, will be held at a later date.

Alice Marie (Marsh) Emry of Lincoln, NE (formerly of Ainsworth, NE, O’Neill, NE and Colome, SD) passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 15, 2021. She was born to Emil and Minna A.

Patricia A. (Mattern) Van Winkle, 85, of Ord, NE, formerly of Ainsworth, NE, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE on August 4, 2021. Pat was born July 19, 1936, at Hyannis, NE. She was the daughter of Donald and Hazel (Burgess) Mattern, and was the middle child of three.

Cynthia “Cindy” Lee Quadhamer, 72, of Hildreth passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Bethany Home in Minden. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hildreth with Rev. Caroline Keenan officiating. Interment will be held following services at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery south of Hildreth. The service will be live streamed to the church’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Craig Funeral Home – Jelden Chapel in Hildreth. The casket will be closed. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Cindy’s honor are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hildreth Public Library or to The American Cancer Society. Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hannelore “Ann” (Arnold) Vaughan was born on March 7, 1928 in Frankfurt, Germany to Heinrich and Friederike (Dietz) Arnold. Ann passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care Center in Bassett, NE.

Daniel (Dan) Beasley passed away in Ainsworth, NE on July 31, 2021 at the age of 87. Dan was born March 20, 1934 in Maud, TX to James and Phoebe (Stinson) Beasley. Dan grew up in Texas during his formative years.

Funeral service for Patricia A. Van Winkle, age 85, of Ord, NE, formerly of Ainsworth, was held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ainsworth. Burial followed in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Pat Van Winkle died Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.
