2020 Census Shows Ainsworth Population Down to 1,616 from 1,728 in Last 10 Years

Results from the 2020 Census were released in August, showing a population decrease of 112 people in Ainsworth and a decrease of 242 for Brown County over the last decade. Nebraska lawmakers will use the new data to redraw the state’s political boundaries, including legislative and congressional districts, in a special session scheduled for September 13th.

Kilmer Makes First Appearance in County Court, Case Bound Over to District Court

Wednesday, September 1, at 4:00 p.m., Kevin Kilmer had his first appearance in County Court with Judge Orr, who advised Kilmer that a complaint had been filed against him which alleges two counts and read them: Class 1 or 1A Felony, Murder in the First Degree, and Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, along with the penalties. First Degree Murder is a 1 or 1A

9/11 Memorial Poster Exhibition at Ainsworth Public Library

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is offering the Ainsworth Public Library a poster exhibition titled, September 11, 2001: The Day that Changed the World. This educational exhibition presents the history of 9/11, its origins, and its ongoing implications with 14 captivating posters featuring archival photographs and images of artifacts from the Museum’s permanent collection.

Ainsworth Men’s League Golf
