NPPD Says Beware of Uptick in Scam Activity

Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) is asking power customers around the state to be wary of scammers trying to take advantage of the recent winter weather and power outages. These predatory individuals will call and state the customer’s bill must be paid immediately or the power will be shut off and will recommend several methods of payment.

Extension Study Seeks Ranchers’ Input on Grassland Conservation Programs

A newly launched survey by Nebraska Extension seeks ranchers’ input on the design of grassland conservation programs in the state. The survey, a partnership among Nebraska Extension, Nebraska Cattlemen’s, Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and the University of Nebraska, is a targeted effort to get feedback directly from the ranchers in the state.

Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs End Season in Sub-District Play

The 2020-21 season for the Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs ended in sub-districts on February 16th in Broken Bow. The Lady Dawgs played the Valentine Lady Badgers on February 15th in Broken Bow for the first game of the C1-10 Sub-Districts.

Ainsworth Irrigation District Board Meeting

The Board of Directors of the Ainsworth Irrigation District will meet on Tuesday, March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Ainsworth Irrigation District headquarters building, one mile east and a quarter of a mile north of Ainsworth.
