Long Pine State Recreation Area will be closed to the public between April 11th - 18th for cedar tree removal. Carol Woods enjoyed the lovely spring day on Saturday but the wind was nasty on Sunday. The lawn is greening, the tulips opened on Easter and the iris are really growing. The melody of the frogs on a nearby pond are enjoyed. Carol has also enjoyed the third group of indoor amaryllis flowers. Her brother, Jim Marsh of Ceresco, had 2 1/2 inches of rain this past week. His lawn is ready to be mowed. He recently had “muddy rain” from Oklahoma red dust. Car windshield was covered with it.
