Ainsworth Area Chamber of Commerce held its final drawing for the Chamber Bucks Giveaway on Friday, December 23rd. Each winner will receive $50.00 each for shopping at an Ainsworth Chamber of Commerce participating store.

For the third year, the Ainsworth United Methodist Church offered a Christmas dinner on December 25th for area residents. What started in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic has now turned into a tradition.

Another year has come and gone. The Ainsworth Star-Journal will be providing stories that made the news during 2022 in the next few weeks.

The Brown County Commissioners will meet as a Board of Equalization on Tuesday, January 3rd at 5:00 p.m., and as the Board of Commissioners at 5:15 p.m. in the Courthouse.

A regular meeting of the Brown County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees was held Wednesday, December 21, 2022. The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Brent Deibler, at 3:59 p.m. Other members in attendance were Brian Delimont and John Gross. Tate Schipporeit and Jim Walz were excused. Also attending was Mirya Hallock - CEO, Tad Stearns - CFO, Lisa Fischer - HR, and Tawny Allen - Recording Secretary. Dr. Campbell joined the meeting at 4:01 p.m.
