Brown County Report December 18 - 24, 2022 Sunday, December 18th During a traffic stop on Highway 7, a citation was issued to a South Dakota driver for speeding 81 mph in a 65 mph zone. Monday, December 19th Received a report of a stranded motorist near the intersection of 885th Road and 435 Avenue.

Post Drought Meeting for the Sandhills in Arthur January 9

Post Drought Meeting for the Sandhills will be held at the Arthur County Fairgrounds January 9th with a social beginning at 5:30 p.m., meal at 6:00 p.m. and the program starting at 6:30 p.m. The program is being sponsored by Zoetis, Nebraska Cattlemen, and Nebraska Extension. There is no cost to attend the program, but you must register by January 7th to make sure we have enough food. You may register by calling (308) 532-2683 or emailing rsaner2@ unl.edu. New Vehicle License Plates are Ready for Brown County Residents

Next year, 2023, marks the beginning of the new license plate issuance cycle. Since the last plate issuance year, 2017, license plate options have significantly increased with the expansion of the number of available specialty plates.

Baby It's Cold Outside

This past week, Brown County residents along with most of Nebraska experienced extremely cold temperatures along with blowing snow. For the second week, Mother Nature provided blizzard conditions to north central Nebraska.
