Nebraska Game & Parks Commissioners Approve Changes to Wild Turkey Seasons for 2023

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission approved recommendations for 2023 wild turkey hunting seasons at its August 31 meeting at Fort Robinson State Park near Crawford. The changes to orders for the 2023 turkey season are: • Limit all hunters to two spring permits; during the meeting, commissioners amended the recommendation to allow nonresidents up to two permits.

Work Will Begin on US-183 South of Bassett

Weather permitting, work will begin September 19 on US-183 south of Bassett, from reference post 172.20 to reference post 182.33, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Western Engineering Company, Inc of Harlan, Iowa has the contract.

Phase 3 of Highway 20 Construction Through Ainsworth to Begin

Carl Hart, NDOT High Project Manager, reported that A&R Construction prepared pavement marking and traffic control for Phase 3 construction of Highway 20 through Ainsworth. Traffic was switched to Phase III in the evening of Monday, September 12, 2022.

Sandhill Rod & Gun Club Fall Trap League
