DOES Host Holiday Vendor and Craft Fair

Vendor tables selling crafts, jewelry, clothing items, decor and many other holiday gifts filled the Elks Lodge for the DOES Craft Fair on Friday - Saturday, November 12th - 13th. The DOES served a soup supper on Friday and potato topper lunch on Saturday.

Taco or Chef Salad Available Thursday, November 18th: Meat loaf, baked potato, corn, fruit cocktail, bread and milk. Friday, November 19th: Roast turkey, stuffing, green beans, pineapple, bread, milk and pumpkin pie.

Ruth Stephens Begins Role as BC Hospital Interim CEO

The Brown County Hospital Board has selected Ruth Stephens of Beatrice to fill the interim Chief Executive Offer (CEO) position. Her first day in the role was Monday, November 1st. She temporarily fills the vacancy left by John Werner, who was the CEO for three years before resigning in early October.

ACDC Along with Communities for Kids Host A Gallery Walk for Child Care Providers

The Ainsworth Child Development Center (ACDC) along with Communities for Kids (C4K) hosted a Providers Gallery Walk at the Ainsworth Community Center on Monday, November 1, 2021. All area Child Care Providers and private preschool teachers in Ainsworth and Long Pine were invited to join in discussions about early childhood needs in our communities.

Ainsworth Fed Up with Nebraska Wind Since 1894

Last week on November 11th and 12th, a High Wind Warning was issued by the National Weather Service for areas of Nebraska, including Brown County. Gusts were reported at 53 mph in Ainsworth, 68 mph in Springview and 71 mph in Valentine.
