Mountain Lion Lottery Application Period is November 1 – December 8

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will accept lottery applications for mountain lion permits November 1 – December 8, 2021, for the 2022 hunting season. Permits are available only to Nebraska residents, who may have one permit per calendar year.

Brown County Receives Dividend Check

Brown County has received another membership dividend, this time in the amount of $8,483.00, from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), the county’s property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider. The dividend was part of a $1 million distribution shared with 81 Nebraska counties and nine county-associated agencies during NIRMA’s annual membership conference October 21 – 22 in Kearney.
