Ainsworth Star-Journal knows how important reading is, and is excited to awaken the magic of reading for Ainsworth students by partnering with the Nebraska Press Association Foundation to provide 3rd through 5th graders at Ainsworth Community Schools with monthly copies of Kid Scoop News, a print newspaper made for kids.

The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles has launched an online service that tracks the production and mailing status of driver’s licenses and ID cards. The new service allows customers who have ordered a new license or state ID card to track their card while it is in transit.

When we think of Henry VIII most of us envision an oversized man with multiple wives, a bitter personality, and a propensity for beheading his enemies. A lesserknown fact is that he suffered with chronic leg sores the last twenty years of his life. Living in a time before antibiotics, anesthesia, and proper wound care, this king endured excruciating ulcers with no cure available. Would history have been different if his sores could have been treated with today’s advanced wound care?

The Ainsworth Cross Country teams finished the 2021 season with a pair of top five finishes at the NSAA State Cross Country Meet held on October 22nd at the Kearney Country Club. Behind medaling performances from Katherine Kerrigan and Emma Kennedy, the Lady Bulldogs battled for gold but fell just six points short with a third-place finish.
