The Ainsworth Bulldog Volleyball Team went 4-1 during last week’s play, improving to 7-3 on the season. The Dawgs traveled to Chambers on Thursday, September 9th.

Meeting for Special Ed Students Slated On Wednesday, September 15th at 9:00 a.m., a meeting conducted by Ainsworth Community Schools will take place in the district office. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents who have parentally placed their child in an approved and/or accredited non-public school or exempt home school and representatives of non-public schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend approved and/or accredited non-public schools and exempt home schools which are within the Ainsworth Community Schools district for the 2021-2022 school year.

Alpha Delta Chapter of DKG met September 11th at the Pizza Place in Bassett. Three members answered roll call with “Where were you on 9-11” and made a donation to Read Aloud Nebraska.

On Saturday, September 4th, young cowboys and cowgirls had the opportunity to compete in a variety of fun events including Hide Race, Musical Chairs, Flag Race, Nickel Scramble and Egg Race. Categories were broken down to 5 and Under, 6-12 Year Olds and 12 & Over.

On Sunday, September 5th, several horseshoe pitchers showed up at the Brown County Fair to see if they were indeed, the best horseshoe pitcher. Results of this year’s Horseshoe Pitching Tournament event were:

Have you heard the ‘buzz’ about ACDC in our community? No, it’s not AC/DC the popular 70s rock band! It’s the acronym for Ainsworth Child Development Center. It was formed in the summer of 2020 by a local group of professional young women, also mothers of young children, needing child care for their own children.
