Emergency Personnel Responded to One-Vehicle Accident at AKRS Intersection

Emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle accident on January 26th east of Ainsworth. Brandon Priestley, driving a 2006 Chevy Suburban, was eastbound on Highway 20 when he tried to turn south onto 432nd Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway and collided with the end of a culvert and embankment. Priestly told investigating officers he took the turn too fast. Norma Priestley was a passenger in the vehicle and was transported to the Brown County Hospital. Firemen had to left the passenger side of the vehicle so the passenger to be removed from the vehicle. Officers listed the Suburban as totalled. Responding to the accident were the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Brown County Ambulance Association and the Ainsworth Fire Department.

Lady Bulldogs Pick Up Win Against Hyannis 48-25

On Tuesday, January 28th, the Lady Bulldogs finally broke their five game dry spell. The Lady Dawgs held the Hyannis Lady Longhorns to single digit points each quarter.

Bulldogs Grab a Win in Niobrara 57-46

The Ainsworth Boys Basketball Team notched their third win of the season on Thursday, January 30th against the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars. The Bulldogs started slow in the first quarter, getting out scored 17-7.

Lady Bulldogs Fall to Niobrara/Verdigre

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs took on the Niobrara/Verdigre Lady Cougars on January 30th. The Bulldogs were fresh off their win from Hyannis, but couldn’t seem to break down the 11-5 Cougars.
