Tuesday evening a storm came up and the residents of Trailside Apartments used the tornado shelter for the second time this year. We got a little hail and rain. Some people north of Johnstown reported .20 and hail. There was a tornado reported, but nobody I talked to knew where it touched down. The rest of the week was hot and dry.

Another severe storm swept through Brown County last week on Tuesday, July 30th. The National Weather Service in North Platte issued storm warnings for western Brown County and storm spotters were sent out.

Shad Platt, son of Hazel Platt, from Orland, CA, was inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN, on June 22, 2024. Shad grew up in Ainsworth, NE, where he found his passion riding horses at a young age.
