    City Council Approves Special Designated Liquor License

    A special City Council Meeting was called for the Ainsworth City Council on July 31st to consider a Special Designated Liquor License for the Elks Lodge BPOE #1790. The Elks will be providing liquor for the Bulldog Booster Club event at the Ainsworth Conference Center on August 16th from 3:00 p.m.

    The Gilder Lehrman Institute Names Nathan Kackmeister as 2024 Nebraska History Teacher of the Year

    Nathan Kackmeister is one of 53 finalists for the 2024 National History Teacher of the Year Award, set to receive a $1,000 prize and an invaluable collection of classroom resources. Kackmeister, a teacher at Crawford Public Schools in Crawford, NE, has been named the 2024 Nebraska History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

    Work Will Begin on N-12, Minnechaduza Creek Bridge

    Weather permitting, work will begin September 3rd on the Minnechaduza Creek Bridge replacement project, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. General Excavating, LLC of Lincoln is the prime contractor for the project.

    The Nebraska Hospital Association Research and Educational Foundation (NHAREF) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Graduate Studies Tuition Aid Program and the Undergraduate Health Care Career Scholarship Program. This year, the NHA, with support of their business partner, Medical Solutions, awarded Nebraska hospital employees with a record $100,000.00 in scholarships to help them further their education.
