    Week of June 23rd through June 29th, 2024 Sunday, June 23rd Responded to a report of a male subject, with unauthorized access, located at a residence inside Ainsworth city limits. The male was issued a citation, for criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace, then booked into the Brown County Jail.

    “Presidential Debate” Well, in my opinion, listening to one of these debates is probably going to be enough with these two candidates - Former President Trump and President Biden. Fact finding has proven both candidates gave misinformation. They both disrespected each other to a certain extent. President Biden was hard to understand and I found him correcting what he said more than once.

    Tour de Nebraska Makes Stop Over in Ainsworth

    Ainsworth became a stop over for the night on Thursday, June 27th for 400 bike riders who were riding in the Tour de Nebraska. Riders spent a night in Springview, Bassett, Ainsworth, Valentine and back to Springview where they would finish their ride. The tour allowed the bike riders to see the beauty of the sandhills.

    State Auditor Examines Niobrara Council

    Nebraska State Auditor Mike Foley said it was concerned citizens who saw the Niobrara Council office closed and contacted their office to investigate. “Not a day goes by that by phone or email, some citizen saying you have to check out something. We have to filter them out - is the person making the complaint wrong? In this case, they were right on target - that Kalli wasn’t coming to work regularly and was a source of irritation to the citizens,” said Auditor Mike Foley.
