With some soggy score sheets, shooters made it past the third week of Trap League on Wednesday, May 1st. Top shooters were Blaine Frizzell with a 48 of 50 rocks and Dave Sherman with a 43 of 50.

If you have an interest in Niobrara River issues, consider submitting your name for consideration for one of the seven positions up for re-appointment on the Niobrara Council. The seven, three year term positions coming up include: four landowner representatives, one recreational business representative, one timber industry representatives and one representative of a recognized, nonprofit environmental, conservation or wildlife organization.

Juli Murphy of Ainsworth and Roxie Lindquist of Bassett attended the Delta Kappa Gamma Nebraska State Convention April 19th - 21st in Kearney. Juli participated in the Chapter Presidents’ March which was conducted by Nebraska Past State President Roxie.

Bridgehead, a new non-profit organization with the intent to provide Northeast Nebraska veterans with a safe place to gain a foothold, is set to come to the area sometime very soon. The new nonprofit was incorporated in hopes to fill in the gap for veterans transitioning to and from rehabilitation, or just needing a place to restore.

On May 15th at 9:00 a.m. a meeting conducted by Ainsworth Community Schools (ACS) will take place in the Ainsworth District Office.
