    EPA Approves Plan to Mitigate Snake River Damage

    The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a work plan submitted to the Agency by Richard Minor of Gordon, Nebraska, and Cherry County, Nebraska, to mitigate damage to the Snake River resulting from an unauthorized drainage ditch excavated from Minor’s property to the river in 2020.

    NDOT Seeks Witty, Creative Friday Safety Messages

    “DON’T FLY THROUGH NEBRASKA, SLOW DOWN.” The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) invites you to contribute clever and insightful “Friday Safety Messages” for display on electronic message boards along Nebraska’s Interstate and other major highways. These messages will be featured every Friday, and the more creative, the better.

    Long Pine Bridge Project

    The Long Pine Bridge repair project has been awarded to Iowa Civil Contracting, Inc., of Victor, IA. Work will include reconstruction of the bridge abutments, new guardrail, bridge deck overlay, along with other minor repairs needed to preserve the structure.

    Ainsworth Track Teams Start 2024 Season at Dan Lennon Invitational

    The Ainsworth Track Team competed in their first event of the 2024 Track Season at the Dan Lennon Invitational Track Meet in Vermillion, SD on March 19th. Carter Nelson took first place in the Boys Pole Vault and Long Jump plus placing third in the Shot Put.
