    Burn Ban for Brown County Implemented Until Further Notice

    Ainsworth Fire Chief Brad Fiala has issued a county-wide burn ban for Brown County effective immediately. With the dry conditions, dormant vegetation coupled with low relative humidity levels and strong winds in the forecast, Fire Chief Fiala decided to implement the burn ban being issued.

    Hospital Board Tour New PT Flooring and New X-Ray Equipment

    A regular meeting of the Brown County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees was held Monday, February 19, 2024. The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Kirk Peterson, at 4:00 p.m. Other members in attendance were John Gross, Tate Schipporeit, Brian Delimont, and Brent Deibler. Also attending was Mirya Hallock CEO, Tad Stearns - CFO, Tawny Allen - HR, Brandy Bussinger DON, and Robin Johannssen - Recording Secretary. Doctor Wasmund attended at 4:10 p.m. Amber Ackerson, Atty. for RuralMed Management Resources attended to give the Board an educational presentation.

    Ainsworth Lions Club

    The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting at 5:00 p.m. on February 19, 2024 at the Senior Center. Lions Club President Steve Dike called the meeting to order with six members present. The January 15, 2024 meeting was cancelled due to the weather.

    Jan Buoy Earns CMC of Long Pine

    Jan Buoy, CMC of City of Long Pine, has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc. IIMC grants the CMC designation only to municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements; and have a record of significant contributions to their local government, community, and state.
