Austin Harthoorn Earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln Degree

Austin Harthoorn of Ainsworth was among 626 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during a combined graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony August 13 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Legislative Notes

In 1966, the good people of Nebraska had grown tired of paying high property taxes. They collected the needed signatures on a ballot initiative and they put the question on the November ballot. By a margin of 50.89% to 49.11% the people of Nebraska passed a constitutional amendment that did away with the “State Property Tax.”

Brown County Report August 7 - 13, 2022 Sunday, August 7th During a traffic stop on Highway 20, near mile marker 243, a Washington licensed driver was issued a citation for speeding 16-20 mph over the posted speed limit. Received reports of suspected dog neglect in Ainsworth and Johnstown.
