The team of Kevin Martin, Logan Leach and Brett Knoetzel remain in solo first place with a team score of 60 following Thursday, August 4th Ainsworth Men’s League. The team of Robbie France, Graig Kinzie and Troy Brodbeck continue in second place with a team score of 56.

Ainsworth retained the Border Cup Saturday, August 6th at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course in the annual match play event between the top golfers from the Ainsworth and Bassett courses. After winning the Border Cup a year ago at the Bassett Country Club, Ainsworth scored the 12-1/2 points needed to retain the cup in the closest matchup between the teams in the event’s history.

Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are a few of the cole crops and they grow best at 60 degrees to 68 degrees. The top temperature limit for these crops is 85 degrees. Unfortunately, this year has been a very difficult year for these plants.
