Local Students on Chadron State College Fall 2021 Dean’s List

Chadron State College has announced that 346 students met requirements for the Dean’s List for Fall 2021 by earning at least a 3.5 grade point average. To qualify, students must have completed at least 45 credit hours, be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester.

Youth Help Decorate 20 Dozen Sugar Cookies at Ainsworth Senior Center for Mother’s Day

This year, the Ainsworth Senior Center hosted a new event, having kids come in and help decorate sugar cookies for Mother’s Day. 20 dozen sugar cookies came to life as the kids used their talents and lots of sweet frosting and decorations to make each one different. Helping with the fun event were Adeline Hladky, Briggs Hladky and Emery Hladky.

NCDHD and ASAP to Provide Free Responsible Beverage Server Training on June 14th in Bassett

Alcohol retailers should take note. North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) and the Area Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (ASAP) are announcing that Responsible Beverage Server Trainings (RBST) will be held at the Bassett City Hall on Monday June 13th. There is no cost for the training, however pre-registration is required.

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership (CNCAP) Early Childhood Programs (ECP) provides programs that teach children and supports families by making family success a number one priority. CNCAP Early Childhood Programs includes Head Start, Early Head Start, Early Head Start-Home Based, Sixpence, partnerships with public schools and Early Development Network.

Blair and Marilyn Williams had a nice visit with Tanjie (Lewis) Petr on Saturday morning. She was here to attend the graduation of her nephew Levi Lewis, who was graduating from Bassett High School Saturday afternoon. Tanjie grew up in the Johnstown community.
