Bradley Leland Moody, age 56, of Pilot Mound, IA, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Ames, IA. He was born on Friday, October 13, 1967, (something his grandmother believed to be a very bad omen) in Ainsworth, NE to Evelyn and Leland (Babe) Moody. He attended Brown County District 21 Pleasant Hill Elementary and graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1986. While in school, Brad excelled in FFA and football. While in college at UNL, Brad was a Nebraska FFA State Officer. Upon leaving college, he returned home to help on the family farm and started his own farm as well. While farming, Brad was approached by Helena Chemical Company thus beginning his career in agronomy and seed genetics and his move to his final home - Iowa. Before his passing, Brad was working for Key Co-Op at Story City, IA.

Word has been received of the death of Betty M. Haynes, age 85 of Bassett, NE.

Duane Leslie Lovegrove entered the world on April 8, 1934, in Fairmont, NE, to his parents, Peter and Pearl, weighing in at 12 lbs. 11 oz.

Linda Rae Strand was born in Ainsworth, NE on April 12, 1956, to Carl and Alice Crooker. Linda passed away at her home in Ainsworth on May 31, 2024.

Funeral Service for Bradley L. Moody, age 56 of Pilot Mound, IA were held on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth, NE. Burial followed in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Bradley Moody passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA.

Lori Ann Jeffers was born on April 24, 1975, to Kathleen Ann (Ward) Lyons and William D. Jeffers, Jr. in Alameda, CA. Lori was their second child joining an older brother, William D Jeffers, III, almost 3. Lori started dance class around the age of one. She and her brother would spend most of their early childhood performing dance and acrobatic routines for Carol Jeans dance studio at venues around Livermore and the surrounding areas.

LaRayne M. Halligan, 82, of Ord, NE passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Valley County Health System Hospital in Ord, NE.

Funeral Service for Linda R. Strand, age 68, of Ainsworth, NE will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ainsworth Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Linda Strand passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 at her residence in Ainsworth.

Cecelia Rae McDaniel was born July 24, 1932 to Vernon and Gladyce McDaniel at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, NE. Cecelia passed from this earth into her Savior’s loving arms at the age of 91 on May 13, 2024 at the Arbor Care Center in O’Neill, NE, where she had resided since August of 2020.
