Carol Lynn (Kackmeister) Christensen, age 74 of Long Pine, NE, passed away on November 9, 2020 at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, NE. She was born on July 7, 1946 in Ainsworth to Robert S. and Larena M. (Alberts) Kackmeister. Carol graduated from Ainsworth High School and went on to have a successful career as a cosmetologist. She was no stranger to hard work and would never shy away from getting her hands dirty, preferring to do things herself. She loved warm weather and pretty flowers, and always had a love for animals. To quote the late Mr. Tom Petty, “she was crazy ‘bout Elvis…and loved America too.” Carol enjoyed listening to Ozzy Osbourne and loved a good guitar solo. In her later years, she could often be found admiring the flutter of hummingbirds at her feeder or taking care of her beloved cats. She will be missed by all who knew her.
