City of Long Pine Alters Hours of Sale for Alcohol and Repeals Cemetery Ordinance

The Long Pine City Council held a regular meeting on Thursday, November at 7:00 p.m. at the Long Pine Community Center. Council members Linda Alberts, Dave Cheatum, Kathy Papstein and Andrea Collatos were present, as well as City Clerk Jan Buoy, Mayor Ed Brown, City Attorney Rod Palmer and Utilities Superintendent Jim Debolt.

Ainsworth Schools Reapply to Niobrara Valley Conference; Gym Bleachers Require Repair

The Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education held its regular meeting on Monday, November 8th. School board members Jim Arens, Mark Johnson, Frank Beel, Jessica Pozehl, Scott Erthum and Brad Wilkins were present. This meeting immediately followed the School Board Data Retreat, a board work session, at 6:00 p.m.

October 31 - November 6, 2021 Sunday, October 31st During a traffic stop at 4th and Richardson St. in Ainsworth, a subject was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into the Brown County Jail.
