PSC Cold Weather Rule Assists Natural Gas Consumers

November 1st marked the beginning of the Nebraska Public Service Commission’s (PSC) cold weather rule. From November 1st through March 31st, customers of Nebraska’s jurisdictional natural gas utilities who may be facing financial difficulties are given a little extra time to pay their bills.

Attorney Generals Announce Historic Google Settlement over Location Tracking Practices

Attorney General Peterson announced today that Nebraska, along with 39 other attorneys general, has reached a $391.5 million multistate settlement with Google over its location tracking practices relating to Google Account settings. This is the largest multistate Attorney General privacy settlement in the history of the U.S. Nebraska will receive $11,887,209.18 from the settlement.

General Election Results for Brown County

Over 60% of Brown County voters cast their ballots during the General Election held on November 8th. Voter turnout across the state was 52.80 percent and with voter turn out in adjacent counties higher than state average – Cherry County - 72.38%, Keya Paha 67.50%, Rock - 58.53% and Blaine 59.77%.
