Home owners along Oak Street in Ainsworth met with the Ainsworth City Council during the regular council meeting on Wednesday, November 9th to voice their opposition to using Oak Street as the designated detour route during the Highway 7 (Main Street) project scheduled for 2024.

Ainsworth Board of Education - Jim Arens, Mark Johnson, Frank Beel, Scott Erthum and Brad Wilkins met on Monday, November 14th for their regular monthly meeting. TeamMates Annual Presentation and Update Lisa Schlueter TeamMates Program Coordinator of the local Ainsworth Chapter of TeamMates presented a power point and discussed the TeamMates mentoring program with the Board and provided updated information.

In 1961, Frank Williams the Third, was drafted into the military as a police officer during what is called the Berlin Crisis. He had been a contractor and a business owner from an early age and leaving that for the military took some getting used to. Little did he know, the military would change not only his life but his outlook on the world and America each and every day. Today, on this Veterans Day, we will appreciate our veterans for their sacrifice and bravery. We will tell the story of Frank Williams’ life before, after, and during his military experience.

The Ainsworth Bulldog Football team had a perfect 8-0 season for 2022 and were crowned District D2-4 Champions. The perfect season was a first in school history since the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) started keeping records.
