Bivalent COVID-19 Vaccine Available for Children 5 Years and Older

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the expanded approval of COVID-19 Bivalent vaccine boosters for children ages 5 years and older on October 12, 2022. These boosters were made to target the versions of the COVID-19 virus that has been present in our communities. This announcement has expanded the availability of the Bivalent Vaccines for the following groups:

Area Fire Departments Respond to Fire South of Long Pine

Fire departments from Ainsworth, Long Pine, Johnstown, Raven, Calamus, South Pine, Bassett, Springview and Newport along with the SEAT plane, responded to a grass fire on the Bob Alberts ranch, approximately 15 miles south of Long Pine on Saturday, October 15th. Beck's Well & Irrigation also provided a tanker to provide water to the fire fighters.

Ainsworth Residents Now Allowed to Raise Chickens Within City Limits

The Ainsworth City Council held the third reading of the ordinance allowing Ainsworth residents to raise chickens within Ainsworth City Limits. During the regular meeting of the Ainsworth City Council on October 12th, the Council voted unanimously to approve Ordinance 1551 regarding poultry; chickens; permit requirements and restrictions.
