AHS Student-Athletes Recognized at 54th Annual All-Sports Tailgate Party

The Ainsworth Lions Club hosted the 54th Annual AHS All-Sports Tailgate Party on Tuesday, April 26th to honor Ainsworth High School athletes for their accomplishments this past year. Seniors who participated in a sport every season of their high school career received 12-Sport Athlete Awards.

First Place Class B for In-Depth Writing

Ainsworth Star-Journal Associate Editor Lydia Allen received first place in Class B for In-Depth Writing during the Nebraska Press Association's 2022 Better Newspaper Competition. Allen wrote a story about Nebraska Game and Parks Commission testing Detachable Fish Ladders on Cub Creek and other Niobrara River tributary drop culverts.

2022 FFA Banquet

Ainsworth’s FFA Chapter held its annual banquet on Monday, April 25th. Members of the chapter were recognized for their achievements throughout the previous year.

May is Beef Month

May is Beef Month across the nation, and more especially in the Sandhills of Nebraska. We take this time to honor the beef producers of Ainsworth, Brown County and the surrounding area during Beef Month. In this week's issue of the Pioneer Advertiser is the 2022 Beef Tab saluting beef producers.
