We are so thankful God answered our prayers for rain! Carol Woods had 3.20 in the Friday/Saturday a.m. rains. The rain gauge did not get put up until 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. We were so dry and this rain sure helped. It seems overnight the lawn started to green up and the trees began leafing out. The iris really grew. Carol’s pear trees and plum bushes are about to bloom. You can hear the frogs at night now.

AHS Quiz Bowl Team Ends 16-9 Season at State

The Ainsworth High School Quiz Bowl team traveled to Hastings on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 to compete in the state quiz bowl competition. Two teams represented each Educational Service Unit across the state, with a total of thirty teams in the competition.

Painter Top Shooter During Trap League

Witten Painter was top shooter the second week of the Sandhills Rod & Gun Trap League with a 43 followed by Cole McCall, Gene Vochester and Dave Sherman all shooting 40. Team scores are First Class Auto - 416, Ripley Chevy - 396, Mob County - 391, Ainsworth Golf Course - 385, Doug’s Mobil - 384, Weed Eaters - 379, Berry Creek - 378, Weed Wackers - 375 and Home Town Lumber - 354.
