AHS Speech Team Wins Ainsworth Invitational Speech Meet

The AHS Speech team ended their regular season of competition on Saturday, February 19th at the Ainsworth Speech Meet. The team finished in 1st place out of 6 teams, and had widespread success in all events.

Love of Floriculture Discovered through FFA

Moving from the big city of Houston, TX to the little town of Ainsworth, NE, I had no idea how much my life would really change. I moved here my freshman year of high school. My dad signed me up for FFA, and I couldn’t believe it: ME, a city slicker, taking an FFA class.

FFA Impacted My Decision to Pursue a Career in the Livestock Industry

FFA: an organization dedicated to the future of agriculture that has had many impacts on me. Through my classes and my experiences in FFA, I’ve gained skills and interests that have impacted my future career. Through FFA, I have learned the qualities and skills that it takes to make a great leader.

FFA Taught Me Leadership and Cooperation

Being raised in the Nebraska Sandhills, agriculture has always been a part of my life. I am honored to be a part of our local FFA chapter. FFA has taught me many life lessons in the short time that I have been a part of the great organization. A few things FFA has taught me are: patience, leadership, time management skills, and how to work with others.

FFA: Creating Memories and a Legacy

FFA means a legacy that has been passed down through generations. As a fourth-generation agriculturist and a third-generation FFA member, I have learned how FFA and agriculture have changed over the years. I have been provided with standards to beat and exceed from the previous generations.
