Nebraska Forest Sercice Announces Tree City Program Communities

The Nebraska Forest Service, the Nebraska Community Forestry Council, and the Arbor Day Foundation support and celebratecommunitiesthroughout the state demonstrating a commitment to urban and community forestry by participating in the Tree City USA program. This program recognizes communities, educational institutions, and electric utility companies that value the importance of trees in cities and share these values with their partners and the general public.

July 20 Sheriff’s office provided traffic control for a funeral procession in Ainsworth. A traffic stop was made south of Ainsworth on Highway 7 for a vehicle speeding.
