During the regular meeting of the Brown County Commissioners on April 16th, Brown County Highway Superintendent Kenny Turpin said he was contacted by Pat Schumacher asking the county to remove some trees and do some ditch work.
The U.S. Postal Service is planning on raising the price of a First-Class Mail to 73 cents on July 14, 2024, up by a nickel from the 68 cents one currently costs. The U.S. Postal Service raised First-Class mail to 68 cents from 64 cents on January 21, 2024.
The Ainsworth Track Teams competed in the Sandhills Invitational Track Meet at Bassett on Monday, April 8th. The weather was cool, windy with sporatic moisture.
The Ainsworth Boys Golf Team was in Ord on April 4th for the Ord Invitaional. Jhett Hollenbeck led the Ainsworth team with a seventh place finish by shooting a 39/40 for a round of 79.
The correct date for the Kindergarten Class Parent Meeting is May 7th. It was reported in last week’s Ainsworth Star-Journal that there will be an informational parent meeting on May 2nd at 6:30 p.m.
