    Ainsworth Girls Take Second Place at O’Neill Track Meet

    Even though it was a cool, windy day for the O’Neill Invitational Track Meet on Thursday, April 11th, the Ainsworth Girls Track Team has a very good day. The Ainsworth Girls took second place with 78 points.

    Carol Woods Wins Best of Show at 60th Ainsworth Art Guild Show

    Ainsworth Art Guild celebrates its 60th year of promoting visual arts as an affiliated club of the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs (ANAC). Audrey Wilson and Cindy Bower, two charter members of the long-standing organization, helped organize the Ainsworth Club in 1964.

    2024 Inductees of the Nebraska Sandhills Cowboy Hall of Fame Announced

    The inductees to the 2024 Nebraska Sandhills Cowboy Hall of Fame have recently been announced. The inductees are Rex Adamson - Cherry County, Theresa Bequin-Strong - Sheridan County, Dan Carson - Blaine County, Richard Caulfield - Keya Paha County, Robert Childers - Thomas County, Susan Childers - Thomas County, Forest Ira (Skeet) McKillip - Grant County, Kay Morgan - Garfield County, Ronny Morgan - Garfield County and Quincy D.

    Work Will Begin on N-97

    Work began Monday, April 15, on N-97, from reference post 110.35 to reference post 115.40. This project will improve approximately five miles of N-97 around Merritt Reservoir Werner Construction of Hastings is the prime contractor for this project. Work will include asphalt resurfacing, pavement widening, culvert work and grading. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers. Anticipated completion is late June.
