Jim Arens Recognized as Ainsworth’s Lion-of-the-Year

The Ainsworth Lions Club held its regular monthly meeting at 12:00 noon on September 19th at Canyon Creek. Lions Club President Dale Hafer called the meeting to order, with 12 members present. “Thank you” cards were sent to the following for volunteer assistance and support of the Lions Club in the operation of the concession building at the Brown County Fair: Sue Spann, Deana Arens, Darlene Ehlers, Marsha Fuchs, Angie Vonheeder, and Sonny Corkle.

I know there are a lot of people who can’t get into sports, but for those of us you enjoy watching the best of the best on TV, this past weekend was a fun one. Friday and Saturday, the Nebraska Volleyball team won two BIG 10 competitions.
