Bulldogs Earn Individual Laurels at O’Neill Invite

The Ainsworth Bulldogs’ cross country teams picked up five medals in the high school division races and an additional two in the middle school races at the O’Neill Invite on Friday. The Bulldogs, shorthanded due to illness and injury, were unable to compete for any high school team honors.

Nebraska’s August Unemployment Rate is 2.1 Percent

The Nebraska Department of Labor (NDOL) announced today that Nebraska’s preliminary unemployment rate for August 2022 is 2.1 percent, seasonally adjusted. The rate is up 0.1 percentage points from the July 2022 rate and is down 0.4 percentage points from the August 2021 rate of 2.5 percent. Ainsworth Art Guild Starts New Season

The Art Guild met September 10th at the Coleman House Museum with four members present. Audrey Wilson reviewed minutes and the treasury report.

Ainsworth Library Foundation to Hold Book Basket Auction Fund Raiser

President, Ainsworth Library Foundation Board Marsha Fuchs has announced the Ainsworth Public Library is bringing back the Book Basket Auction fund raiser by popular demand. Fuchs said, “These can make wonderful gifts for the holidays.” The silent auction and event will be held in November.

Banned Books Week September 18-24, 2022

Banned Books Week celebrates the freedom to read and spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools.
