By definition, miracle is a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences. A miracle is what happened at the Ainsworth Star-Journal around 3:15 p.m.

Every session of the legislature I introduce a resolution. Last session it was called LR13CA. It proposes a constitutional amendment to place a limit on how much property taxes can be used to fund public schools.

The Ainsworth City Council passed an ordinance raising garbage rates in Ainsworth beginning October 1st. The ordinance was approved during the regular meeting of the Ainsworth City Council on September 14th.

Through Yale University in New Haven, CT, the Yale Educator Recognition Program recognizes outstanding educators from around the world who support and inspire their students to perform at high levels and to achieve excellence. Of this year’s 339 nominees, who represent 43 states and 21 countries, 48 teachers and 29 counselors were selected to receive the award. Matriculating students are invited to nominate high school educators, and a committee of Yale admissions officers reviews each nomination individually and designates recipients. In September, the winners were sent their awards with congratulatory letters, and administrators of the high schools were notified of their achievement.

There was some excitement at the Ainsworth Star-Journal on Monday afternoon, September 12th around 3:15 p.m. A&R Construction was using a cement saw across Highway 20 when a shear pin broke and the blade from the cement saw was launched across Highway 20, across the Star-Journal parking lot and through a Star-Journal window.
