Ainsworth FFA Chapter Officers Demonstrate Leadership in Agriculture in 2021-22 School Year

Each year the members of the Ainsworth FFA Chapter elect who they want to serve as their officers. Each officer is charged with certain responsibilities which include: President - Presides over all FFA meetings and coordinates all activities; Vice President - Assumes the duties of the president if necessary, supervises committees, and works closely with the president; Secretary - Prepares the minutes of the meetings, attends to chapter correspondence, and records member’s attendance and activities; Treasurer- Keeps records of chapter receipts and deposits, collects dues, and maintains treasurer’s book; Sentinel - Prepares the meeting room, cares for chapter paraphernalia, attends the door, and welcomes guest; Reporter - Publicizes chapter activities, sends stories to district and state FFA reporters and records FFA activities with pictures; Historian - Keeps the chapter scrapbook, takes pictures of FFA activities, and works with the reporter to record chapter history; Parliamentarian - Advises members of correct parliamentary law, helps maintain correct procedure at FFA meetings, and makes sure all meetings are fair and impartial; and Advisor - Acquaints members with FFA, makes FFA a learning experience, and advises all FFA members.

KBR Solid Waste Committee Awarded $30,852.00 Scrap Tire Grant from NDEE

Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy Director Jim Macy announced on February 16th the award of $6,679,007.00 in grants to support 155 projects across the state. These grants will help fund litter and waste reduction projects, recycling programs, and pay costs for scrap tire cleanups and collections for household hazardous waste, electronic waste, and pharmaceuticals.

A Win Over the Broncos and a Loss to the Swedes for the 15-8 Lady Bulldogs

In their final week of regular season games, the 2021-22 Ainsworth Bulldogs girls basketball team took a W home from Stuart on Tuesday, but were served an L on Friday when they hosted Gothenburg, giving AHS a 15-8 (65%) season record heading into subdistricts.

Dawgs Knock Off Stuart and Gothenburg

Last week, the Dawgs knocked off the Stuart Broncos and the Gothenburg Swedes to give themselves a 15-7 (68%) record with only one regular season game remaining before subdistrict play. On Tuesday, February 8th, the Bulldogs beat the 13-6 Broncos in Stuart by a 15-point margin.
