Virtual Victories: Ainsworth Mock Trial Team Receives 4th At State

The Ainsworth Mock Trial team has officially finished their season, leaving state with a fourth-place rank. State mock trial consisted of three days of virtual trials among 12 of the best teams in the state. Mock Trial is hosted through the Nebraska Bar Foundation. State is traditionally held in Lincoln, NE.

Ainsworth City Council Reviews Main Street Concept from 2011

During the regular meeting of the Ainsworth City Council on January 12th, the council reviewed proposed Main Street improvements compiled by RDG Planning and Design of Omaha and Miller & Associates of Kearney.

Lead Fellowship Applications Available for Group 41

Fellowship applications for Nebraska LEAD (Leadership Education/Action Development) Group 41 are now available for men and women involved in production agriculture or agribusiness. “Up to 30 motivated men and women with demonstrated leadership potential will be selected from five geographic districts across our state,” said Terry Hejny, Nebraska LEAD Program director.

The People at Your Table

One of my favorite parables describes the difference between heaven and hell. In both places, hungry people sit at tables laden with delicious food. In hell, people suffer and starve because they cannot eat with the long utensils provided. In heaven, people are happy and thrive because they use the utensils to feed each other.
